APPLOAD

Dialog box enhanced to include new functionality such as a history list, the Startup Suite, and support of additional file formats.

ATTDEF

Displays the Attribute Definition dialog box, which replaces the DDATTDEF command. To create attribute definitions using the command line, enter attdef.

ATTEDIT

Displays the Edit Attributes dialog box, which replaces the DDATTE command. To edit attributes using the command line, enter attedit.

ATTEXT

Displays the Attribute Extraction dialog box, which replaces the DDATTEXT command. To extract attribute data using the command line, enter attext.

BHATCH

Dialog box redesigned for ease of use.

BLOCK

Dialog box redesigned and enhanced. You can now create or redefine a block from within the same dialog box. You can save a block icon to be displayed in AutoCAD DesignCenter as well as assign insert units and a block description to the block.

BOUNDARY

Dialog box redesigned for ease of use.

CHANGE

Enhanced to support the lineweight property and, in Named Plot Style mode, the plot style property.

COLOR

Displays the Select Color dialog box, replacing the DDCOLOR command.  To specify colors using the command line, enter color.

DIMSTYLE

Displays the new Dimension Style Manager, replacing the DDIM command. To create or modify dimension styles using the command line, enter dimstyle.

DSVIEWER

Access to zooming and panning functionality enhanced for ease of use.

HATCHEDIT

Dialog box redesigned for ease of use.

IMAGEATTACH

INSERT

Displays enhanced Insert dialog box that includes Browse, Explode, Uniform Scale, With Insertion Point, Scale, and Rotation Factor options. These options can also be specified on the command line.

LAYER

The Layer and Linetype Properties dialog box is replaced by the Layer Properties Manager (LAYER), and the Linetype Manager (LINETYPE). The Layer Properties Manager, including the Named Filters dialog box, has been enhanced to support the lineweight and plot properties and, in Named Plot Style mode, the plot style property.

LIGHT

Default values of intensity changed in both the New or Modify Spot Light and the New or Modify Point Light dialog boxes. If attenuation is inverse linear, maximum intensity is the value of twice the extents distance. If attenuation is inverse square, maximum intensity is twice the square of the extents distance.

LIMITS

LIMITS input is ignored when paper space is active and either the paper background or paper margins are displayed.

LINETYPE

The Layer and Linetype Properties dialog box is replaced by the Linetype Manager (LINETYPE) and the Layer Properties Manager (LAYER). You can now filter linetypes by using the Linetype Filters option.

MSPACE

MSPACE and PSPACE modified to work with the new Model and layout tabs.

MTEXT

Enhanced to include line spacing and improved stacking support.

NEW

Dialog box redesigned for ease of use.

OSNAP

Displays the Object Snap tab of the new Drafting Settings dialog box. The aperture size and AutoSnapTM settings are now available from the Drafting tab of the new Options dialog box (see the OPTIONS command).

PLOT

Dialog box enhanced for ease of use.

PSPACE

MSPACE and PSPACE modified to work with the new Model and layout tabs.

RENAME

Displays the Rename dialog box, replacing the DDRENAME command. The Rename dialog box has been enhanced to support the plot style property. To rename objects using the command line, enter rename.

RENDER

Displays the Windows Render dialog box, where you can select the bitmap size, color depth, and resolution for bitmap images. The Windows Render Options dialog box includes a Fit in Window option. When you select this option, the Size in Pixels bitmap options are available.

RMAT

In the Materials dialog box, the Map Style option specifies a scale, and the Object Size option adjusts the size of the preview cube. Auto Axis maps materials on XY, YZ, and XZ oriented surfaces.

SAVEAS

Enhanced to support the DXF format and to specify the default file format to which drawings are saved.

SNAP

Enhanced to include the new Type option, which specifies whether to snap to the grid or polar angles.

TOLERANCE

The Geometric Tolerance dialog box is immediately displayed; you are no longer required to first choose a symbol.

UCS

UCSs can be set per viewport.  Orthographic options have been added. A UCS can be moved and applied from one viewport to another. A UCS can be aligned to the face of a solid by picking within the boundary of a face.

UCSICON

The UCS icon now reflects the orientation of the UCS that is defined with the viewport, even if the viewport is not current.

UNITS

Enhanced to include the specification of block insertion units and base angle direction control.

VIEW

Enhanced to include the ability to restore orthographic and isometric views defined relative to a base UCS. You can now save a UCS with a view.

VPORTS

Displays the new Viewports dialog box in which you can create, save, and restore tiled viewports in the Model tab, and create viewport objects in a layout and preset views. To work with viewports using the command line, enter vports.

WBLOCK

Enhanced to include the ability to export an internal block, selected objects, or the entire drawing. Block base points and insertion points can be specified.

XATTACH

Dialog box redesigned for ease of use.
