Network Printing

You can now configure AutoCAD directly for network print queues during configuration. When configuring a hard-copy device, enter n for network when prompted for the type of port to which the device is connected. You can also choose to configure AutoCAD for multiple plots using the batchplt.exe utility.

File Sharing

AutoCAD now uses the Windows operating system for sharing files, eliminating the old DWK system of file locking.

Network License Manager

AutoCAD licenses can now be shared (or "floated") over a TCP/IP-enabled network. You can install the License Manager software and tools using the Network Setup Wizard. For more information on networking, see the online Installation Guide, accessible through the Help menu.
